I believe everyone has a vision for the life they want to be living and that often times people have difficulty achieving and making their vision a reality. In my work as a psychotherapist I help people develop their own capacities, skills, and inner resources, so they can address their problems, and live a more satisfying life.
When a person, couple, or family first begin therapy with me, they often also begin to breathe a sigh of relief; relief at finding a space where they can experience non judgment and feel safe opening up about themselves, the problems in their lives, and their inner thoughts and ways they experience their lives.
Through counseling, they often next begin to develop some hope that they can change things in their lives; their understanding and awareness about their problems deepens, and they begin taking steps to get to a new place in how they feel and how they relate.
People often come to therapy to deal with situations and problems that have effected their sense of self and their sense of safety and left them struggling to navigate their lives and relationships. People benefit from and need to be able to heal from the negative ways their pasts have impacted them.
I welcome the opportunity to support and guide you on your journey of self-discovery and change, by actively engaging in the process of psychotherapy with you.
